About Oscar G. Ramirez, M.D.
Dr. Oscar Ramirez is one of four full-time physicians at our Northeast clinic and surgery center. He enjoys practicing on the Northeast side of San Antonio where he has lived and practiced medicine for over twelve years.
Dr. Ramirez, who grew up and attended medical school in Guatemala, is fluent in Spanish. He enjoys communicating with his patients in their native language to help them better understand GI symptoms and conditions and to find answers to their digestive issues. His passion for service comes from wanting to be a doctor from a very early age. He completed his residency and fellowship training at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock. He and his wife of 28 years, Silvia, are the proud parents of two grown daughters.

i am really happy to have Dr Ramirez as my gastro doctor. he listens to what I have to say, makes eye contact instead of staring at the computer. he gives his opinions and is very interested . he sure is one of the best doctors I have come across. very pleassant too
It was standing room only in the lobby, but the nurses still took the time to wheel me out to my truck due to possible fall risk. They were polite and I didn't feel rushed.
I was very impressed with the whole experience. The staff was very professional and kind. Dr Ramirez answered all my questions and made this visit very pleasant. Thank you Dr Ramirez and staff for taking the time to make this patient feel respected and comfortable.
Dr Ramirez shows a lot of concern and empathy about my chronic Gastro problems and has ordered several tests to find answers. I can tell he is very caring to his patients, a quality that I look for in doctors.
