About Thomas Shireman, M.D.
After attending the University of Missouri in Kansas City for medical school he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Oklahoma. He has been on faculty at the University of Oklahoma and later went into private practice in the Oklahoma City area in 1994. While in Oklahoma City, Dr. Shireman was the Chief of Staff at Midwest City Regional Medical Center. Dr. Shireman is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.
He is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Shireman chose the medical profession because of his background in science and health issues. What he enjoys most in practice is helping patients

I've been seeing Dr Shireman for a number of years. He is one of the best GIs I've ever had. He's so knowledgeable, kind and actually cares about his patient, whether overall condition or if I'm experiencing pain or discomfort. I know he will tell me the truth, good or bad, and he'll work hard to help me.

Have been with Dr Shireman for both colonoscopy and upper GI exams over the years. Always an easy experience. The staff is wonderful, warm, welcoming from the front area reception all the way to procedure. Everything is explained so it’s easily understood. Dr Shireman himself is unique. Very assuring. He explains procedures.. welcomes any questions..you will know every step of and what to expect. Highly recommend Dr Shireman and his staff.
