About Charlie Fox, M.D.
Dr. Charlie Fox is board certified in Internal Medicine. Although he treats all GI issues, he is particularly interested in liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and esophageal disorders.
Dr. Fox chose to specialize in gastroenterology because of the complexity, variety and the ability to directly visualize, diagnose and treat disorders through endoscopy. The function of the GI tract is closely connected to our everyday lives as we eat and digest our food. Therefore helping patients with issues of the GI tract can be very rewarding.
Patients can expect a patient-centered and evidence-based approach. Dr. Fox likes to meet patients where they are, taking time to understand their concerns and thoughts, prior to discussing further evaluation and treatment. He encourages his patients to take an active role in the shared decision-making process as they evaluate and address their GI issues. Dr. Fox wants patients to leave their visits feeling heard as well as satisfied with their care.
Dr. Fox attended the Milton S Hershey Medical Center at Pennsylvania State University for his medical degree. After that, he attended the University of Colorado for his medical residency and the University of Utah for his medical fellowship.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Fox enjoys skiing and snowboarding, golfing, hiking and going to concerts. He loves watching movies and he has two energetic kittens at home.
