Reviews
Dr Wayne Lue is replacing Dr Thomas Arndt who had treated me for decades and I could not be happier. Dr Lue is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He is easy to talk to and takes the time to address your concerns. A great staff and facility.
Excellent treatment from everyone! First time with Dr. Leu - and he was awesome!!!
First visit and was very impressed with everyone Very professional and knowledgeable
If you’re in need of a skilled and compassionate Gastroenterologist, look no further than Dr. Lue. After my previous doctor retired, I faced the daunting task of finding a new specialist. Following extensive research and comparing reviews, I narrowed my choices to three doctors and ultimately chose Dr. Lue. I couldn’t be happier with my decision. From my very first visit, it was clear that Dr. Lue is an exceptional physician. I was due for a colonoscopy—my last one being nearly 15 years ago at age 38. Additionally, a CT scan in 2023 had revealed ulcers, but a subsequent scan in 2024 showed no ulcers despite recently having intermittent stomach pain. Dr. Lue recommended an upper endoscopy (EGD) in addition to the colonoscopy, offering to perform both procedures during the same visit. The colonoscopy prep involved Miralax, which was the same method my previous doctor used, and I appreciated not needing a prescribed medication. My procedure was conducted at the Palos SurgiCenter in Palos Heights, an excellent facility with an outstanding staff. They were warm, professional, and made me feel safe and comfortable, even as I felt nervous. Dr. Lue met with me both before and after the procedure. During the colonoscopy, he removed several polyps, one of which was larger and sent for biopsy, along with stomach fluid samples from the EGD. He also suggested a blood test to check for gluten sensitivity or allergies. Notably, I experienced no post-procedure throat soreness after the EGD, a testament to Dr. Lue’s expertise. Within a week, I received a call directly from Dr. Lue at 7:45 a.m. with my biopsy results, which were thankfully negative for cancer. Week or so later Dr Lue called me after receiving the blood test results, which showed no gluten allergy, so possibly I just have a gluten sensitivity issue. He advised me to monitor my diet to identify potential triggers. Receiving personal follow-up calls from the doctor himself, rather than staff, was a remarkable and reassuring experience. It’s evident that Dr. Lue genuinely cares about his patients and their well-being. I’ve since recommended him to my brother, who is also due for a colonoscopy. Dr. Lue’s professionalism, expertise, and compassionate care have truly set him apart.
