Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
Being a Gastroenterologist allows me expanded tools and procedural skill to diagnose and treat patients with a wide variety of conditions. Gastroenterology encompasses a wide array of diseases but also allows for prevention of disease through screening procedures such as Colonoscopy. I strive to provide a comfortable space for patients to discuss their concerns and allow us to formulate a treatment plan together. I truly enjoy forming lifelong relationships with my patients and ensuring they can live their lives to the fullest.
Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?
One of the reasons I chose Gastroenterology from the beginning of my training was the vast amount of conditions that are within the field, which allows for lifelong learning and lasting impact in the lives of my patients. I have special interest in diagnosis, treatment, and aspects of preventative care in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases.
What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time outdoors with my wife, friends, and family. In my spare time I also enjoy racing in autocross.
