Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
I chose to specialize in gastroenterology for many reasons, which include the variety of gastrointestinal and liver disease pathology and the ability to perform very interesting procedures. Gastroenterology also has a good mix of clinic and inpatient settings.
Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?
Esophageal and gastric motility, Barrett’s esophagus and gastrointestinal bleeding.
Where did you study?
Undergraduate: BS in biology from Ohio State University 2005, Medical School: Ohio State College of Medicine 2010, Internal Medicine Residency: Baylor College of Medicine 2013, GI Fellowship: Baylor College of Medicine 2016.
What certifications do you hold?
I am board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?
Traveling, college football, running, movies, Netflix and reading.

AGA/GRG GI Fellow Abstract Award 2015, Baylor Internal Medicine resident of the month December 2012, Kenneth Wiseman Scholarship in Medicine 2006

He was excellent. But we still have not figured out what is causing me grief and throwing up. My insurance wouldn't approve the little thing you swallow that takes pictures. But recently we did a swallow test to see if there was a problem with my larynx but I just have to retrain myself to take small swallow and small bites. See him again in 2 months.
