Dr. Soumojit Ghosh is a board-certified gastroenterologist in St. Louis, Missouri. Although Dr. Ghosh considers himself a bread-and-butter gastroenterologist providing care for all general GI conditions, he particularly enjoys inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease).

Dr. Ghosh views gastroenterology as a unique field of medicine that allows him to see patients in the office and come up with an action plan with a large arsenal of diagnostic tools to try and come to a diagnosis and eventual treatment of various gastrointestinal conditions. Dr. Ghosh is passionate about endoscopy as it allows him to identify and diagnosis various conditions in real time, in addition to help preventing colon cancer.

Dr. Ghosh’s approach to patient care is to simply be a team member in their health journey centered on their wants and wishes. Dr. Ghosh will be there to provide information so that they can make the best-informed decision for themselves. He strives to provide an environment that will be centered on clear communication, empathy and comfort, and most of all involve the patient in every step of the way.

Dr. Ghosh enjoys watching and playing all kinds of sports. He loves playing tennis and pickleball.

Dr. Ghosh is an avid St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues, Kansas City Chiefs, and Wisconsin Badgers fan. He also enjoys finance, cooking, exploring new restaurants and real estate. But most of all, he loves spending time with his wife and family, including his dog, Badger (a mini goldendoodle).
