About Shiv Desai, M.D.
Dr. Shiv Desai is originally from the DFW area and received his medical training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Intrigued by the opportunity to integrate clinical medicine and procedures, he completed his Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh. To further gain increased experience in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy he completed his Advanced Endoscopy training at UTSW.

Very impressed with Dr. Desai and his team. Very efficient and they really know their stuff!
The doctor was very pleasant, helpful and precise with clear explanations of the things u need to know.
This was my initial appointment with Dr. Desai's office. I was referred to him by another doctor. My appointment was for 8:15AM and I was seen a few minutes early. The staff was kind and courteous and very attentive. My vitals were taken quickly and efficiently. Dr. Desai was generous with his time and patience in explaining to me and reviewing some recent results, making sure I had an understanding of my condiditon, and we spoke about a plan of action going forward. He was more than accommodating with his schedule to match my schedule and availability. In addition, I found Dr. Desai to be friendly, reassuring, and kind. The visit ended with both a scheduled procedure and some information for me concerning my outpatient visit in a few weeks. I could not ask for more as an first time patient.
It was like a breath of fresh air to meet Dr Desai. Amazing, a doctor who cares about you, has looked at your chart before you arrived and takes the time to provide answers about your needed care.
Dr. Desai was very thorough abd informative and very easy to talk to. Highly recommend.
