Shawn Henderson

Shawn Henderson serves as the Chief People Officer of GI Alliance, a physician-led network supporting independent specialty practices across the U.S. with operational excellence, shared infrastructure, and a collective vision for growth, which allows physicians to prioritize what they do best – care for their patients. In his role, Shawn is responsible for all human resources (HR) functions within GI Alliance, in addition to marketing and communications.

As the leader of the People team, Shawn drives the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned to business priorities, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, strategic HR business partners, and championing our culture.

Prior to joining GI Alliance, Shawn spent nearly 15 years at Cardinal Health, a distributor of pharmaceuticals and specialty products; supplier of home-health products and services; operator of nuclear pharmacies; provider of performance and data solutions; and global manufacturer and distributor of medical products.

During his time at Cardinal Health, Shawn served in a variety of HR leadership roles across the organization, most recently as vice president and HR business partner supporting Cardinal Health’s Pharmaceutical and Specialty Solutions commercial team.

Shawn earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and communication from The Ohio State University, and master’s degree from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
