About Ross Pinson, M.D.
Dr. Pinson is a board-certified gastroenterologist who treats all general GI issues but has a special interest in biliary disease, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and gastroesophageal reflux disease.
Before joining Texas Digestive Disease Consultants/GI Alliance, Dr. Pinson served as Chief of Gastroenterology at Keesler Medical Center at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi.
Dr. Ross Pinson finds treating patients with gastrointestinal disorders extremely rewarding, given the amount of distress patients can experience. Too often, these patients suffer silently with their condition. He enjoys treating the entire spectrum of GI diseases, which includes preventing cancers and treating chronic illnesses and conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Outside of caring for patients, Dr. Pinson enjoys spending time with his wife and four boys. He also enjoys tennis, pickleball, swimming, watching sports, and spending weekends on the lake, cooking on the grill or boiling crawfish or shrimp.
What Can Patients Expect?
Dr. Pinson's approach to patient care begins with listening and not making assumptions. If he feels something in the patient's history doesn't add up, he continuously expands the differential to ensure something isn't overlooked. Dr. Pinson believes in the judicious use of available testing and partnering with patients in making treatment plans.
