About Robert Wolfgang, D.O.

Dr. Robert Wolfgang is a Board Certified gastroenterologist who treats all general gastroenterology, including ERCP, Enteroscopy and Cholangioscopy. Dr. Wolfgang is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American Gastroenterology Association.

Dr. Wolfgang has been practicing in Rhode Island for 25 years. He got his start in the medical field at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he graduated with his Medical Degree. He then went on to complete his Medical Residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center and complete his Medical Fellowship at UC Davis Medical Center.

Dr. Wolfgang has always enjoyed the practice of Internal Medicine and solving diagnostic dilemmas. He had excellent mentors while in training during his Gastroenterology electives. In his opinion, gastroenterology provides an excellent mixture of procedures and office experiences. He feels that the procedures allow for the feeling of making a difference in a patient's life in a very immediate and gratifying way.

Dr. Wolfgang enjoys open water swimming, hiking, skiing, woodworking, spending time with his four children and cheering for the Buffalo Bills.
