About Reed Hogan, M.D.
Reed B. Hogan is one of the gastroenterologists at the Flowood GI Associates and Endoscopy Center and the Madison GI Associates and Endoscopy Center. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at Delta State University and went on to pursue a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He fulfilled his residency and internship requirements in Internal Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Baylor University Medical Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Dr. Hogan was elected by his peers for inclusion in Best Doctors in America®: 1996-2018. He has an extensive list of research experience, has been active in pharmaceutical development and holds patents for treatments of various GI disorders, and has authored numerous scientific publications. In addition to working at the GI Associates, he has previously served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and is Chairman of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) special interest group for Ambulatory Endoscopy Centers for the last 10 years and also has served on the Practice Management Committee for ASGE. Dr. Hogan has also been listed in the 2012 Beckers’ “The 125 Gastroenterologists to Know.”

The place was noticeably clean, no long waiting and I felt listened to. However I did witness grinning, snickering and quiet whispering from staff as they looked upon me but did not say hello. I don't know what that's supposed to make anyone think but I know what it made me think. It was quite sophmoric and not at all professional

Positive experience. No issues to report. Dr. Hogan explained the procedure and the results in a way that made it easy to understand.
All went well. Dr. Hogan was engaging, encouraging and knowledgeable about my procedure. I did do all the prep and bowels did produce clear but I didn’t feel as flushed as before. I hope it wasn’t a hindrance to his following through the complete procedure.

Dr. Hogan is one of my "angels". He found my stomach cancer 23.5 years ago because he took the time to listen to me describe my strange symptoms that I felt was-not just acid reflux, it turned out to be Signet ring carcinoma. I had Total stomach and one third of the esophagus removed, I have survived this long, thanks to him and his team at GI Associates because he cared and took the time to listen. I was in recently for an upper EGD, the entire staff, from check-in to the nice fellow wheeling me out to the car, everyone so friendly and kind. I never hesitate to tell anyone "GO SEE GI ASSOCIATES!"
