Dr. Po-Hong “Stuart” Liu is a gastroenterologist located in Federal Way, Washington. Dr. Liu treats all GI and liver diseases and has special interests in prevention and early detection of gastrointestinal cancer, chronic liver disease and inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Liu is a member of several professional affiliations: the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.

Dr. Liu chose gastroenterology because the field offers fascinating opportunities for long-term patient relationships, screening and cancer prevention, advances in technology and treatment, and a wide variety of procedures. Patients can expect compassionate care and shared decision making for a better quality of life when they see Dr. Liu.

Dr. Liu attended National Yang-Ming University, Taiwan for his medical degree and completed his Medical Residency and Medical Fellowship at the Taipei Veterans General Hospital in Taiwan and UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Liu enjoys the outdoors, fitness, history, and traveling.
