About PJ Pedersen, M.D.
“I was attracted to the intellectual challenges of GI disease such as inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease and liver disease. I love having the opportunity to perform endoscopic procedures and work collaboratively with other specialists to give patients the best possible care and results.
I love the preventive care opportunities in colon cancer screening – stopping cancer before it starts. So many GI diseases can be treated and cured, and I like using therapies that help people feel better and live better. I always try to respectfully, actively and collaboratively engage my patients in their own care.
I am warm and caring, inquisitive and curious – and highly motivated to deliver the best care. Because I empathize with my patients, I work as hard as I can to improve their health and their quality of life.
In his free time, Dr. Pedersen enjoys mountain biking, skiing, water-skiing and participating in public educational programs for the Crohn’s and Colitis Association of America.”

I recently visited Dr. Pedersen for a couple GI issues. He was his usual kind self. He is always concerned for the well-being of his patients. I am a patient who tends to minimize my problems. I try to give all the signs & symptoms but not blow them out of proportion. I always think there are sicker patients that need the doc more than I. My thinking is illogical but I was raised by a mother who said, " There better damn well be something wrong with you so you don't waste the doctor's time." That stuck. I told Dr. Pedersen my concerns. He listened & explained what could be happening in my gut. I appreciate the explanations he gives. Even though I'm a retired RN, I have forgotten a lot & love the refresher from the doc. I believe I am in the best, most capable hands & completely trust Dr. Pedersen in managing my Crohns & other GI issues.

After 23 years of care, my favorite GI doc is retiring. I am sad but excited for Dr. Pedersen for this new chapter in his life. He has been wonderful. And I wish him all the best.
appreciate his concern for my health.
Second of all, I feel that St.Marks Hospital is the very best in our state. All the staff did a wonderful job before and after I had my procedure.
Thanks to all of you.
Thank you Dr. Pedersen! Keep up the great work! 👍🥳😄😊
Now, a year later, I knew I could trust him and again received thorough advice to solve my problem and move forward.
I have recommended him to all my family and friends. And to anyone reading this review.
Thank you, Dr Pedersen.
I highly recommend him .
