About Phillip Oberg, D.O.
Dr. Phillip Oberg is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, specializing in standard EGD and colonoscopy as well as ERCP. He has also been trained in video capsule endoscopy, esophageal dysmotility, fibroscan and liver disease. Dr. Oberg looks forward to participating in further research and treatment related to the gut microbiome as well.
Dr. Oberg finds gastroenterology as a fascinating field of medicine. He has always been interested in the various organ systems that are able to take our food and assimilate the nutrients in a dynamic functioning body. Although we have come a long way in evidence-based medicine to achieve our best health, Dr. Oberg feels that there are still so many areas of research and growth in GI.
Dr. Oberg enjoys helping his patients achieve a holistic approach to their health including a healthy lifestyle as well as incorporating appropriate medicines and medical techniques.
Dr. Oberg attended Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine for his medical degree. After that, he completed his Medical Residency and Medical Fellowship at Valley Hospital, Las Vegas.
In his spare time, he enjoys going to the gym, staying active, golfing, hiking, hunting, and camping. He tries to spend as much time as possible with his family and they enjoy watching shows, playing video games and visiting new places.
