About Mona Dave, M.D.
Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
I’ve always wanted to work with children within gastroenterology. I now am a board certified gastroenterologist who treats children’s gastrointestinal (esophagus, stomach and intestine) disorders. My staff and I work extremely hard to streamline the referral process, expedite appointment scheduling and promptly respond to patient calls. I am proud to say that my practice offers a pure pediatric environment, as a pediatric trained professional handles every aspect of the child’s care, from anesthesia to X-rays.
Where did you study?
Undergrad: BS in Biology at Villanova University, MD: Medical College of Pennsylvania, Internship and Residency: Pediatrics, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Fellowship: Pediatric Gastroenterology, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?
When I am not seeing patients, I enjoy outdoor activities, reading and most of all, spending time with my husband and twin girls.

BEST "bed-side manner" EVER!
While I typically don't leave reviews because of time constraints, I feel compelled to express my gratitude for the exceptional care provided by Dr. Dave. She has attended to my other children in the past, but recently, I've had a child who has been quite unwell, hospitalized for various reasons, particularly struggling with GI issues alongside other symptoms. Dr. Dave's compassion and proactive approach were remarkable; she went beyond the call of duty by reaching out to our pediatrician's office promptly. As a concerned mother, I deeply appreciated her dedication and attentiveness to my child's well-being.
Dr. Dave, is a great doctor, we feel very lucky to be referred to her by our pediatrician who we very much trust, she is kind, loves her patients, spend enough time to explain things to you and your child, she is detail oriented and conscious of doing the right thing for her patients. feel very blessed that she is the one helping us and supporting us.
