About Mohammad Taheri, M.D.
About
Mohammad Taheri, M.D. attended medical school at the Universidad Complutense (UCM) de Madrid. Here he got his Medical Doctorate. He then went on to an internship at Harrisburg Hospital. Dr. Taheri accepted a Fellowship in Nutrition at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 2007. This was followed by a Fellowship at the University of Manitoba.
He says the fellowship is one of the highlights of his career. That experience gave him the opportunity to train with leaders in the industry. It also established a foundation for his success in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Taheri is one of the few trained in the ERCP procedure. This is a specialized technique used to diagnose disease in the bile ducts. It’s also used to diagnose disease in the pancreatic duct and gallbladder.
He has been involved in multiple studies throughout his career. He has also published many articles on topics about gastro.
When asked what he likes most about practicing medicine, Dr. Taheri says that ERCP is one of his favorite procedures. However, his patients bring him the greatest joy. He says, “I see each person I treat not as a patient, but as a fellow human being whose wellbeing is the most important thing.”

Reviews
There was not a long wait. I was seen on time . The doctor was very kind and professional
We arrived early wait a long time like 45 min to hour to be sent to back other than that was good
This medical practice is an example of how a busy medical practice should function. As soon as I walked into the office, I was greeted by a friendly front of office member. After a short wait I was taken to the back for the procedure. I was greeted by Dr. Taheri and he explained the procedure in detail and calmed my nerves. When I returned for the results, Dr. pulled up a chair next to me to explain the findings. He is so kind and compassionate and made me feel like the only patient of the day- and the waiting room was full!
Very calming and explained every detail that was needed.
I was emaciated, well cared for, it would have been perfect if the nurse Erika who gave me the serum had not stung me more than 2 kisses, I think she is inexperienced or not dabe, it hurt a lot and I bled a lot, it was the only bad thing about that appointment, the rest was fabulous.
