Reviews
I have been a patient of Dr. Guirl since 2010. I have a difficult illness that causes gastroperesis and esophageal atrophy, which prevent me from eating or swallowing medication! After trying to get films for over a year through my PCP, a hospital finally did them, within minutes of receiving the report Dr. Guirl was calling me and scheduling a procedure within 2 days! He listens to every concern I have, and doesn’t have that “I’M THE DOCTOR” attitude! He believes that you know your body and has always treated me like I was the only patient that matters! I now live 4 hours away, but I will never use anyone else for this issues!! Dr. Guirl is my hero!
Dr. Guirl is fantastic. He is kind, listens well and provides solid, understandable answers to your questions. He also has a very calming and respectful demeanor. My first colonoscopy, over 25 years ago, was not performed by Dr. Guirl, AND it was a horrible experience to say the least. For instance, that doctor insisted I be awake for the procedure. For my second colonoscopy (almost 10 years ago), I went to Dr. Guirl since my husband was already a patient of his. Dr. Guirl was very re-assuring when explaining the procedure to me, and that I would not be awake! The colonoscopy went well. More recently, I saw Dr. Guirl to have a prescription refilled. (He needed to see me in-person because the prescription was several years old.) It was a relatively quick visit, but not once did I feel rushed. And, I was able to ask questions and get answers. I wish all my doctors were as great as Dr. Guirl!
Dr. Guirl was thorough and explained possible diagnosis and next steps to determine the true issue. His staff was also very friendly and helpful.
Everyone treated me with professionalism. Dr. Guirl let me know exactly what I needed to know both before and after the procedure. I would highly recommend Dr. Guirl and everyone there. Thank you!
Excellent doctor and staff.
