About Matthew Kobeszko, M.D.
Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?
I treat all GI issues from Barrett's esophagus to colon cancer screening and I have a special interest in hepatobiliary and pancreatic disease management.
Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
Gastroenterology is a vast specialty that treats both acute and long-term diseases with a mixture of patient relationship-building and hands-on work. Cancer prevention and detection play a huge role in gastroenterology, which also provides advancing therapies and endoscopic procedures to treat disease. With the exploding advancements in clinical and endoscopic procedures, gastroenterology as a field provides me with continuous challenges and learning opportunities that keep growing my approach to patient care.
What Can Patients Expect?
Treating the patient behind the disease through compassion and personalized care.
What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and watching my daughter grow up. I also enjoy tennis, volleyball, and pickleball.
