Dr. Matthew Eidem is deeply committed to preventive GI care, with a primary clinical focus on promoting awareness of colon cancer screening starting at age 45 for those at average risk. He brings extensive clinical experience to his patients, having performed more than 15,000 colonoscopies. Dr. Eidem maintains a colonoscopy Adenoma Detection Rate (ADR) and cecal withdrawal time that far exceed national averages. He has incorporated advanced, AI-assisted technology to improve procedure quality even more. Alongside preventive screenings, he provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for the full spectrum of digestive health symptoms and GI conditions.

Dr. Eidem completed his medical degree at the University of Minnesota and his fellowship training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He has proudly served the Plano, TX, community as both a resident and a practitioner since 2007. Repeatedly named one of the Best Doctors in Dallas by D Magazine, he has earned widespread recognition for his outstanding, compassionate care.

Dr. Eidem was born and raised in rural Minnesota. He received his bachelor’s degree from North Dakota State University and then earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota. He went on to complete both his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX. Dr. Eidem has been recognized with numerous awards for the compassionate and outstanding medical care of his patients.
