Dr. Alvarez is a board-certified physician in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. Her interests in the field of gastroenterology include treatments for numerous conditions such as acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, and disease (IBS and IBD), peptic ulcer disease, chronic liver disease, GI bleeding, and screening for colon cancer. She is also fully trained to perform upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, and video capsule endoscopy procedures.

If I could give Dr. Alvarez 10 stars even 20 stars, I would do it! Her staff was amazing and extremely helpful. The check-in was quick. The exiting was quick. And the time I spent with Dr. Alvarez did not feel rushed and we had a good conversation which means a lot to me. Everyone there was truly amazing and I am glad a good friend of mine recommended me to her.

Dr Alvarez is so sweet and caring, she really spends the appropriate amount of time with me and gives me options for long term care and concerns. I prefer the Rowlett office over Dallas due to proximity but the wait time and care at both locations is equally wonderful.
