His expertise, demeanor, skill, and communication are all astounding. He is deeply conservative when it comes to procedures; while he goes far above and beyond to maximize comfort and minimize pain, he treats surgery as an absolute last resort. He kept me almost entirely pain free for years without surgery.
However, after years of intense workouts, my tear finally became unmanageable and he did have to operate. I’ve had roughly 10 surgeries in my life, and prior to this, all of them had a poor/complicated recovery. not the fault of any surgeon per se, there’s a lot going on in my body.
Dr. Campbell, however, broke that streak. I’m 10 days out from the partial meniscectomy, my bandages have dissolved, and I'm in PT. The healing was so fast, free of all complications, I’m just amazed. not that I didn’t panic, I certainly did quite a bit after the operation, and Dr. Campbell's communication skills - and those of his PA Abigail - outperformed my greatest expectations. Any concerns or questions were replied to in something like one to two minutes, they're both just amazing.
I cut my finger tonight, mild little accident in the kitchen, and it is so much more severe than anything that happened during or after my meniscus surgery that I can’t help but laugh, smile, and be grateful.
Dr. Campbell was able to immediately diagnose the injury, and was my surgeon for the ACL reconstruction. To say that the surgery went well is an understatement - after nearly 10 months of undergoing physical therapy and treatment, the leg is back to where it was before the injury - and perhaps is doing better!
Dr. Campbell and the care team are amazing, and do life-changing work. Highly recommend to anyone needing orthopedic surgery or a sports medicine doctor: he and his team are experts at what they do.
