About Kate Conklin
Kate oversees compliance within GI Alliance to ensure that operational procedures and personal conduct within the organization complies with all relevant and applicable laws and regulations. She and her team, develop standards and policies designed to promote a culture of integrity and ethical decision making throughout the organization. Kate’s team is also responsible for ongoing workforce training and education of risk areas and new laws and regulations.
Kate brings with her to GI Alliance over 25 years of healthcare leadership. Prior to joining GI Alliance, Kate served as Chief Compliance Officer for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Corporate Compliance & Privacy Officer for Steward Healthcare (South Division). Additionally, Kate was an executive leader at Medical City-Denton (HCA Hospital) as their Senior Vice President of Ethics/Compliance and Professional Affairs. She was also a past president of National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS).
Kate has earned a bachelor of administration (Healthcare Emphasis) degree from American Intercontinental University and a master’s degree from Denver University which focused on Healthcare Leadership in Ethics and Managing Legal Issues. Additionally, Kate has the following accreditations:

- Certified in Medical Staff Management (NAMSS)
- Certified in Provider Credentialing (NAMSS)
- Fellow Designation in Medical Staff Management (NAMSS)
Graduated with a Bachelor of Administration degree from American Intercontinental University
- Received a Master’s degree from Denver University
