About Joseph Pianka, M.D.

Dr. Joseph Pianka is a board-certified gastroenterologist who specializes in complex digestive and procedural issues. Dr. Pianka is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Pianka chose gastroenterology because it combines his love of science, technology and humanity for the greater good. No one matters to Dr. Pianka more than those who walk through his door who are putting their trust in him; he strives to never let them down.

Dr. Pianka received his medical degree from State University of New York (SUNY) Syracuse. He then went on to complete his Medical Residency at NYU Winthrop, Mineola New York. Dr. Pianka completed his GI Fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Pianka lives a very active life. His favorite activities include fitness training, surfing, snowboarding, fly fishing and hiking. He also enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, reading, writing, art, and music.
