About Jennifer W. Brenner, M.D.
Dr. Jennifer Brenner is a board-certified gastroenterologist. She performs routine GI procedures such as upper endoscopy, capsule endoscopy, colonoscopy, and endoscopic retrograde pancreatography for the diagnosis, screening and surveillance of gastrointestinal disorders and cancers. In addition, she specializes in Inflammatory Bowel disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Acid Reflux Disease. She has a special interest in women’s health and gastrointestinal care for cancer patients. She is fluent in English and speaks some Spanish. She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology.

Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
Gastroenterology has been a passion of mine because of the complex nature of gastrointestinal diseases. I truly enjoy the challenge of diagnosis and I care about each patient that I treat. I think about the patient as if they were my “family.” I feel honored to be able to participate in helping someone get better. Preventing colon cancer, stopping diarrhea or constipation, and improving abdominal pain can truly impact a person’s life and is what keeps me committed to this profession.
Do you have a specialty of interest in Gastroenterology?
I practice as a general Gastroenterologist and enjoy taking care of esophageal, stomach, colon and liver disorders. I like to advocate for colon cancer prevention. I also have a unique interest in women’s issues related to gastrointestinal pathologies.
What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?
In my spare time, my husband and my twin boys love to travel. We love to explore, hike, ski and bike.

The place is excellent, even though you go for a medical condition or diagnosis, they make you feel good. The staff is friendly and professional, from the reception, doctors, nurses and other specialists.

The parking is easy, office is small, the elevator is small, but the med tech is efficient and took my complicated history quickly without me having to spell words for her. Dr. Brenner listened attentively and asked pertinent questions prior to exam. She examined me thoroughly and developed a plan for my throat pain that had been ongoing since 2005 despite surgery. Dr. Brenner is smart. Her assistant scheduled me for a scope the following week, told me what she would do afterward based on the findings. I finally have hope.
