I have been a patient at University Gastroenterology for nearly 30 years and when Dr. Joel Spellun retired I was concerned because my health profile is very complex.
Dr. Jason Ferreira joined the practice and I became his patient. All of my fears quickly disappeared after my first meeting with him.
He is sympathetic and kind, extremely knowledgeable and quite skilled providing the complex care I require.
As well as his medical acumen he has a fantastic personality, always making me feel comfortable, going the extra mile, and consistently treating me with dignity.
I highly recommend him.

I have been seeing Dr. Ferreira for the past few years due to health problems that were hard to diagnose. He has shown nothing but compassion, empathy, determination, and understanding of the problems that I have gone through. After years of treating my symptoms to help get through my day to day life, his expertise and willingness to help me find the right answers led to me finally getting a proper diagnosis. Every visit, phone call, and email showed how much he cared about me getting better. He takes the time to listen to all of your concerns, and to help find a solution. I have recommended him to family and friends because I know they are in the best of hands. I have a big team of doctors, and he is by far the most thorough and invested I’ve ever dealt with. I credit him with keeping me sane and optimistic that I would eventually get the answers I sought.
Caring, concerned. I was sick for years on and off. Terrible feeling. This doctor Ferreira treated me and man thank God for him. The treatment plan he gave me allowed me to work again, spend time with my family. You really don't appreciate things like this until you go through it. I cannot say anything bad about this place. Even my procedure there they were very kind and explained to me during each process. I recommend this doctor for anyone having health issues in this area. I've been to several specialists and none were like this place.

I have had 3 different GI doctors and Dr. Ferreira helped me with out a doubt the most! I was in Total anguish until he started to care for me! He gave me back the joy that was missing in my life because of my Medical condition. He takes time to explain and answer questions. He is not the guy that sees as many patients as he can in a day.
