About James F. Jackson, M.D.
Dr. Jackson joined Gastroenterology Consultants in 2007, after completing his postgraduate training and a faculty appointment at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. His academic interests have led to publications in prestigious journals such as the American Journal of Gastroenterology, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, and The American Journal of Medical Sciences. His interests include general gastroenterology and hepatology, including therapeutic endoscopy, capsule endoscopy, and ERCP, and he has extensive training in the management of the inflammatory bowel diseases, Crohn’s Disease and ulcerative colitis. He currently serves as the Chief of Gastroenterology at Methodist Stone Oak Hospital. He is an avid golfer and enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, Carolyn, and three young children.

I saw Dr Jackson after seeing another physician for several years who was not helping me. She finally told me the only thing she could do was send me to a surgeon. I saw Dr Jackson who was able to diagnose me and begin the proper treatment plan in one visit.
Dr Jackson is very knowledgeable and professional. He listens to your concerns and wants to get to the bottom of it for you. Highly reccomend!
Everything went as you would hope with my recent colonoscopy performed by Dr. Jackson. The staff and facility were excellent and Dr. Jackson did a great job explaining the results and taking the appropriate time with me. The entire process was efficient and professional. Great job to the entire team.
Makes an awkward necessity bearable. Dr. Jackson and his staff were caring enough to be persistent in scheduling my appointment, even though I dodged, made excuses, whined about not wanting to go, and generally was a pain to get a hold of. My beloved aunt died from colon cancer, and yet I'm still a big baby about getting my routine appointments taken care of. Thank you, Dr. Jackson, for having such a great team!
Dr. Jackson and his staff are the best when doing a procedure. The teamwork runs smoothly and Dr. Jackson’s explanation of what he was going to do is helpful and his meeting with me after I wake up is very informative. Dr. Jackson is a great doctor and his friendly and informative explanation of his findings is always appreciated. I give him and his staff 5 stars.
