About James F. Jackson, M.D.
Dr. Jackson joined Gastroenterology Consultants in 2007, after completing his postgraduate training and a faculty appointment at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. His academic interests have led to publications in prestigious journals such as the American Journal of Gastroenterology, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, and The American Journal of Medical Sciences. His interests include general gastroenterology and hepatology, including therapeutic endoscopy, capsule endoscopy, and ERCP, and he has extensive training in the management of the inflammatory bowel diseases, Crohn’s Disease and ulcerative colitis. He currently serves as the Chief of Gastroenterology at Methodist Stone Oak Hospital. He is an avid golfer and enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, Carolyn, and three young children.

Dr. Jackson reviewed the report from a hospital stay I had in November in order to have a better understanding of what had happened to me. The information he provided made me feel like he was talking to me and not at me. That makes a big difference.
