About James D. Haddad, M.D.
Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
Gastroenterology might be the best subspecialty of Internal Medicine! There's a broad range of acute and chronic issues we can help treat, which can have a big impact on a patient's quality of life. I've always loved working with my hands, so performing endoscopy for patients who need one is a rewarding experience for me.
Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?
I undertook additional training in interventional endoscopic procedures, including endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP, pancreas and biliary disorders, and have an interest in endoscopic management of obesity, including weight regain after gastric bypass surgery.
What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?
Outside of work, I enjoy simply spending time with my family and our pets. I love to cook, travel, and try new restaurants.
