After graduating from Virginia Tech with a degree in Microbiology and Biology, Kirkland explored several roles within the medical field, including research and medical scribing. Motivated to expand her clinical impact, she pursued a Master of Physician Assistant Studies at South University–Richmond, where she graduated in 2024.

Kirkland is a board-certified Physician Assistant dedicated to providing thoughtful, compassionate, and patient-centered care. She places a strong emphasis on patient education and collaboration, striving to ensure patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident in managing their digestive health. She currently provides gastroenterology care to patients at the Forest office in Richmond, Virginia.

Outside of clinical practice, Kirkland enjoys spending time at the barn with her horses and other animals. She also enjoys kayaking and paddleboarding on the James River and exploring Richmond’s local music scene.
