About Donna McMyler, M.D.
Dr. Donna McMyler uses her background in nutrition to treat patients with gastrointestinal issues such as acid reflux, celiac disease, IBS and gastroparesis. Dr. McMyler attended the University of Texas Health Science at Houston for medical school and the University of Texas Health Science at San Antonio for residency and fellowship. Dr. McMyler grew up in a small town in Central Texas and when not helping her patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.

I recently switched gastroenterologists and I made an appointment with her because I heard she was great. During my appointment we went over my history with UC. I didn’t have all my records from my previous doctor with me so she called me later that evening after receiving them to discuss some things that we didn’t cover. Not many doctors would do that after hours, most would wait til the next appointment. I really appreciated that she took the time to call me. We decided on maintaining my medication plan that is working and my labs look great!
Excellent doctor and facility! All staff was professional and engaged to patient care. Little wait time for preop and doctor to arrive. I was in and out in a short time due to prompt patient care. Not rushed, very efficient process and good patient care. I would recommend this doctor and facility to anyone seeking good patient care. I have been a long time patient with Dr McMyler, she has always been very respectful and polite. I would like to thank the staff from checkin to checkout for their kind care.
Everyone was very helpful, and courteous. They made me feel welcomed, and at ease.
Aside from the awful prep…. Dr. McMyler’s office was AMAZING!!! It runs like a fine oiled machine. They are super organized! All the staff were nice and welcoming, anesthesiologist was fabulous and Dr. McMyler was friendly and explained things wonderfully! Highly recommend!!
I recently had a colonoscopy performed by Dr McMyler and the support staff of Gastroenterology Consultants of San Antonio. From the time I entered the building to check in, to pre procedure preparation and recovery, all staff members were happy, empathetic and most of all professional. Dr McMyler has been my GI physician for the last 6 years. She is dedicated, and her "matter of fact" attitude makes having a colonoscopy a relatively pleasant procedure. I highly recommend Dr McMyler for all your GI needs!
