The staff were very warm and friendly from check in , through to the Nurse / assistant who took my vitals etc . My practitioner Is Leonna White , and I feel very comfortable with the amount of time she spends with me on each visit. I also feel like she is very thorough and orders labs and tests to rule out specific health issues. I also appreciate the fact that due to my inability to tolerate most prescription type of medication , She offers optional ideas for me to incorporate into my health / healing journey .

My experience, although only my first time there was fine they help me feel Comfortable with the situation I’m glad they got me in as quickly as they could and schedule my appointments. Accordingly they probably deal with 50 people a day so I thought they were Patient and courteous with me and that’s all I can ask. I think that’s all any of us can ask.

The support staff is friendly at this GI practice. PA Amanda is knowledgeable and actually listened. She saw me as an individual person with questions and concerns. Amanda helped me to understand what's happening to my body and gave me information. She explained that information too. I didn't leave feeling like I'd wasted my time and money.

My experience with GI and Backus Hospital was excellent. Nursing staff and Doctor were very professional and respectful.
Really explained my diagnosis and what to try to help it. And if it didn't work we would try a steroid.. and it didn't work I had a flare up.. so I'm on day three of a steroid and so far so good.. will definitely be going back!!! ❤️
Very knowledgeable and listened to my concerns. Said she would refer to surgeon and got call the next day! Sent approval to insurance for ibs medication and the whole process was done in a week..Very professional.

I was a walk-in at 12 pm. Kiosk said next available appt was 1:20. I decided to wait. They finished up with the people that had scheduled appointments online. They took me in at 12:30. Willow did my blood work. She was wonderful.
I have had a great experience at Connecticut GI. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I was very nervous about getting my first Colonoscopy and both staff and Shivani Sood MD helped calm my nerves. Everything went great!
