Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?

The diseases in gastroenterology really impact the lives of many people. I wanted the ability to hear a person’s concern, diagnose the problem, and have the opportunity to see them through a treatment plan. In addition, I enjoy the procedural aspect of GI and the challenges that it brings. It gives us yet another avenue to improve the lives of our patients.

Specialization:

I have a wide variety of interests within gastroenterology, including colon cancer screening/prevention, acid reflux, inflammatory bowel disease including Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis, as well as incorporating healthy lifestyle education into our treatment plans.

Interests:

I love spending time and traveling with my wife and children. I also enjoy watching/playing basketball and tennis.
