I had chosen this specialty because the gastrointestinal tract is a deceptively simple organ with many fascinating secrets and mysterious interactions waiting to be unveiled.

I chose liver diseases, especially viral hepatitis because of the earnest desire to make a concrete difference in the lives of my patients.
