About Annette Whitney, M.D.
Dr. Whitney is a passionate, hardworking, board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist who loves taking care of children and their families. Her interest in pediatric acute and chronic diseases include issues from the newborn period through the college years, such as reflux, swallowing issues, growth/development, symptoms of abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, constipation and/or diarrhea, allergic gastrointestinal disorders, celiac and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Dr. Whitney is dedicated to understanding the needs of each of her patients and their families. Throughout the years in her practice, Dr. Whitney has enjoyed watching her patients grow into adults and has even had the honor of treating some of their children. She has been with DHAT since 1999 and actively involved in the community with CCFA, medical symposiums, educational seminars and outreach programs. When she isn’t seeing patients, you might find her hiking at her ranch in Wimberley and/or spending time with her family which includes a supportive husband, five children, and two dogs.

Being a first time mom isn’t the easiest but when you include a baby with stomach issues the stress is through the roof. Dr. Annette Whitney listened to all my concerns and addressed them while providing me resources as well. She was knowledgeable and showed compassion. Her team was very helpful and went above and beyond to make our visit run smoothly. And the follow up is immaculate. Choosing a doctor for your little one is not easy but I’m happy with Dr. Whitney and staff.
Dr.Whitney is all the things you want in a doctor--easy to schedule without a long wait, short wait time in office, good listener, kind, smart and articulate. She quickly diagnosed the issue and explained treatment. We were in and out within 30 minutes of arriving but did not feel rushed. Her prices are reasonable (we are cash pay) especially for a specialist. Her front desk staff were friendly. Bonus--the patient room overlooks a football practice field and it's a cool view (Plano office). I would definitely recommend her and see her again if needed.

Dr. Whitney is very personable and very detailed. She always listens to our concerns and offer real attainable solutions. She took her time and helped to relieve any fears that we may have had. She also will check on you (herself, not her staff)after a procedure.
