Dr. Shea diagnoses and treats a wide variety of gastrointestinal conditions including reflux disease, hiatal hernia, liver diseases, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), colon cancer screening, pancreatic disease, celiac disease, and diverticulosis. He performs colonoscopies, upper endoscopies (EGD), feeding tube placements, 48-hour pH BRAVO testing, and esophageal and colonic dilations.

Dr Shea is a great doctor. I was nervous about going to the doctor and he made me feel comfortable right away. He listened to my problem and he came with solution. I would definitely recommend going to him.

So thankful for the expertise of Dr Shea and his team - My mom had been struggling to manage GI issues resulting from chemotherapy. We feel much better equipped to handle her next round of chemo. Dr Shea is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, but he speaks so quickly my mom couldn’t understand him and I couldn’t keep up with taking notes - upon checkout I was advised by one of the office staff to just plan on recording future appointments so I can listen to it again later - will do :)

Have you ever been to a doctor, and after you've spent 30 minutes filling out the paperwork, the doctor comes in and has no idea your history. Dr. Shea walked in and had actually read everything about me. Wow! Very impressive. He was through. I highly recommend him. His staff was kind and helpful too. The path out of the office was circuitous, and the assistant walked me all the way out. That's being kind.

I’ve been treating with Dr. Shea for many years for my Crohn’s Disease. He takes the time to listen and then responds. He explains the treatment plans/options, he makes sure that you understand the conversation and always asks if there’s anything else that you’d like to ask or add.

Just had a colonoscopy & endoscopy done by Dr. Shea. I can honestly say it was a great experience. The whole staff was extremely attentive & answered all my questions & concerns. He made sure I was comfortable & even had music playing when they wheeled me to get the procedure done. I would definitely recommend him.

Dr. Shea is conscientious, thorough and patient. He listened carefully to answer my questions and asked me engaging questions to clarify symptoms and address concerns. Often doctors aren’t “present” but he is and offers his undivided attention. I felt heard and was acknowledged. I’ve been a patient of his for many years and he consistently practices professionalism and kindness. I’ll admit he probably has to repeat much of the same information to patients preparing for testing but I appreciate that he is so detailed.
