Adil Ghafoor, M.D.
Gastroenterologist

About Adil Ghafoor, M.D.
Dr. Adil Ghafoor is a gastroenterologist who diagnoses, manages, and treats a wide range of acute and chronic gastrointestinal and liver diseases. He is committed to providing the latest evidence-based care through a thoughtful, patient-centered approach rooted in shared decision-making for a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver diseases, some of which include gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease (PUD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), autoimmune/inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), celiac disease, acute and chronic liver diseases (hepatitis, fatty liver, cirrhosis). He also focuses on colorectal cancer screening, prevention, diagnosis, and management through various endoscopic techniques, including endoscopic mucosal resection.
He aims to be a consistent partner throughout the course of his patients’ illnesses and strives to equip each patient with the knowledge and tools they need to understand their conditions, make confident decisions, and manage their health effectively.
Dr. Adil Ghafoor chose gastroenterology because of his interest in the complexity and importance of the digestive and hepatic systems and the diversity in diseases, including autoimmune diseases, infectious processes, bleeding, cancer screening, and management. The overlap with infectious disease, oncology, and immunology keeps the work both challenging and rewarding. Ultimately, a combination of intellectual curiosity, procedural interest, and a desire to make a lasting difference in people’s health guided him toward becoming a gastroenterologist.
