He’s is a great doctor very knowledgeable at diagnosing and really takes the time to listen to you and understand. He will address any concerns you may have. I’ve been very happy with my past experience and Dr. Dwivedi has been the only doctor to be able to diagnose my chest pain and acid reflux that I’ve had for over a year and which turns out is a hernia! Thank you Dr. Dwivedi for always being so kind and generous and for explaining to me what I needed to know! And staff and Anesthesiologist are great they will ask you all the necessary questions before any procedure and make sure you’re all otherwise healthy before procedure. "The office is well taken care of visually. There are two check in lines and for a first time visitor it took a brief moment to understand which line to stand in. The other clinic line was empty and the staff was quick to allow us to be processed via both lines. The check in was easy. The nurses, anesthesiologist and general staff where very attentive, accommodating with my privacy and comfort. The communication was consistent and clear from start to finish. The recovery was a little bit uncomfortable in that you are in a general area and the curtains are open for you to see and hear others but I’m sure this is done so that you can be visible during recovery. You are offered water or juice and a clear explanation is given after the process. Overall I recommend, especially if it is your first time."

Dr. Dwivedi followed up with me directly over the following year through office visits and lab work until he was satisfied that there were no lingering internal issues to be concerned with. "When most people think of colonoscopies, they usually quickly try to think of something else. But an optical colonoscopy is the best way to screen against colon cancer. And colon screening is essential. My overall experience with Dr. Sunil K. Dwivedi at Gastroenterology Consultants of San Antonio was a positive experience. In the pre-colonoscopy consult, Dr. Dwivedi went over my medical history and gave me a thorough explanation of what the procedure would be like. The evening before the day of my procedure, I began the bowel prep. I have had several colonoscopies before, so I had a good idea what to expect. I was given a different bowel agent from what I been prescribed in the past. This two dose (once the night before and once the morning of) white-powder-mixed-with-water stuff is the most salty-tasting substance that I have ever ingested, but it did the job of cleaning me out. On the day of my procedure, everyone at GC of SA was friendly and helpful, from the reception person, to the nurse that checked my vitals, to the nurse who prepped my arm for the anesthesia, to the anesthesiologist, to the folks in the procedure room, Dr. Dwivedi, his nurse and procedure assistant. They all kept me calm and ready to proceed with the procedure. After the procedure, I was awaken by the recovery nurse and the IV was removed from my arm. After that I spoke with Dr. Dwivedi and received paper work on the results from my procedure, which were good, and then I was released. The results were sent to my primary care physician. I thank Dr. Dwevidi and the everyone at Gastroenterology Consultants of San Antonio for making my colonoscopy experience positive and relatively pain free. I advise anyone who needs to have a colonoscopy to get one, as soon as possible."

Prior to it I was anxious about the prep and procedure, but it was very straightforward and nothing to be concerned about. Dr. Dwivedi is well qualified, but he also knows how to talk to his patients. We all want to understand the condition of our health and Dr. Dwivedi explains before the procedure what to expect and then is generous with his time, after the procedure, in explaining what he observed and found. He doesn't ramble. He's not overly chummy. But he gets to the point and listens attentively if you have a question or you need further information.
