I was waiting for awhile in line after I figured where to stand. A elderly couple not that elderly, skipped to front of line. Can't help that. Once I ckd in went very smoothly. I had a great experience until I was under, then it was over. So when I was under it must of went okay. Pretty Quick. Thank Dr. and staff for making this easy."

"I was scheduled to have my colonascopy done on August 28th. I did the prep on August 27th. I arrived at 6:00 am for the procedure and the hospital didn't have me in the system for the test. I called the doctors office several times and left messages. As of today September 6th nobody has responded to my messages. Very sad business 😢"

"My experience was such: The day of my procedure, I was driving around (6:15am for a 7:00 showtime). trying to locate the facility. I drove to the SA Gastrologist (Babcock) and was told I had no such appt. I then drove to the HWY151 office (located on the mailer) and was alarmed to know that that office no loner exist. My daughter noticed that the new office was on another floor. We proceeded to that office to be told, they do not provide that service but she receptionist (kind and understanding)gave me the correct address (which was a few block over from SA Gastrologist) By that time, someone from the clinic called to remind me of my appt. I explained my situation, and was kindly met with "we understand and we will wait on you." That brought relief, knowing I didn't want to reschedule. I arrived at the correct location and again met with kindness (after being more than 1 hour late). I cannot thank the staff from the front desk to the intake nurse, anesthesiologist, and of course Dr. Muhammad for making this uncomfortable experience a pleasant one."

"The entire medical staff was courteous and friendly unfortunately I cannot say the same for one receptionist. The receptionist is the first person I spoke with and was very rude. I was disappointed because the interaction with this specific personnel set a negative tone. However, once I was taken to the back to prep for my procedure, my mind was immediately changed. There is a significant difference in attitude and atmosphere between the front staff and medical staff once I was taken to the back."

"Everything went well. The staff was efficient and kind. There are 2 reasons for 4 stars instead of 5 stars. The first is that it took my nurse 3 tries to get the IV functioning. The second is that although my procedure was scheduled for 11 AM, I had to be there at 10 AM, after which I spent an hour just sitting in the waiting area. I was called back, and it was another 45 minutes before I was wheeled into the operating room. I understand the wait once I was called back, but I fail to see why I needed to be there a full hour ahead of the scheduled time. It seems to me that 15 minutes would be sufficient. I did like that the office did a follow-up call the next day, and I received the results of the tests and biopsy in only 1 week."

"My experience getting my second colonoscopy screening was actually a pleasure. I know this sounds a little bit nutty, since it's a colonoscopy, but let me explain. First of all, the staff at this facility was wonderfully attentive in helping me prepare for the appointment over the phone and via email. When I began to take the preparation formula on the day before the exam, I experienced some uncomfortable symptoms and I called Dr. Ali. He immediately called me back and offered an alternative formula for me that worked wonderfully and which I was comfortable with. I appreciated how he listened closely to my concerns and cared what I had to say. I was able to prepare for the procedure without any discomfort whatsoever. I felt light and clean and hydrated, and I slept well the night before. On the day of the procedure I arrived to a pristine, new and beautiful facility and was greeted by a friendly desk clerk. When I was escorted to the back, all of the staff were sweet to make sure I was comfortable. Although I was the last appointment for the day, I didn't have to wait long to go into surgery. The entire procedure, from arrival to departure, lasted less than two hours. I was introduced to the anesthesiologist who made me feel calm and relaxed and also to another nurse who went out of her way to accommodate a couple of health concerns I have--and did so always making me feel at complete ease. The screening/operating room was cozy, dim, and warm--more like a little tv room. I had a blanket and fuzzy sox. Dr. Ali also came and spoke with me before the procedure to let me know what he would be doing. He is friendly, sweet, and highly experienced. I can see that they were all taking excellent care of me and that I was in very skilled and caring hands. When I was given the twilight drug, it was a pleasant and brief moment for which I woke instantly and the procedure was already finished. I was able to stand right away, dress, and meet my husband outside in less than five minutes. I will also say that the facility took extra measures to make this a Covid-Safe zone. I was in a great mood after that and was talkative and relaxed the entire day. So I guess the twilight drug/anesthesia agreed with me ; ) I am moving to the west coast and if I can afford to fly across the country to have Dr. Ali and his staff do my next colonoscopy, I will! I felt fine and was excited to learn that I even lost a few pounds from the fast. My father died of colon cancer a few years ago because he had not taken proper screenings, so I highly recommend everyone do this. Dr. Ali discovered a minuscule-sized polyp and removed it--no pain afterwards. You are in great hands with Dr. Ali--and I can see why this facility was voted the best Gastro clinic in Texas."

"Efficient & very flexible scheduling options with multiple office locations. However, missed the 5 star rating because of severe difficulty of talking to a live person when calling to schedule a procedure or appointment. Very long wait times (30+ min the 4 times i tried) for calls. They do have a call back feauture, but in my case, was unable to take advantage of it. Would recommend registering a patient portal account & conducting business on-line as much as possible. Once i finally got through the automated & over-burdened phone system the staff was friendly & knowledgeable. Surgical center staff were professional, efficient & attentive. Overall, a quick & painless experience."
