We decided to have the procedure which is now scheduled. I was very pleased with the time and care Dr. Salameh took with me. "it was as pleasurable experience as a colonoscopy could be, the only complaint I would have is that I was asked to show up 2 hours before my appointment to just spend that time in the waiting room. The Clenpiq used the night before and the day of was nowhere near the horror stories I've heard about and you're knocked out for the procedure so nothing to speak of there. If you're of age I recommend dr salameh and his team for the procedure."

"Really pleasant experience! It was my first visit with Dr. Salameh and I really found myself to be comfortable is his presence. He was good about making sure I was understanding what he had to say why he was telling this, and then his plan of taking care of my issue and what I could expect. He is very nice and seems to know exactly what he is doing. He did not rush, did a thorough background history evaluation sitting next to me so his questions could be answered as well. We covered a lot of ground in 20 or 30 minutes. 1st visits are a few minutes longer than your typical 15 minute primary care doctor appts. After all this is a specialized doctor with the credentials and diplomas to back his expertise in his craft. The office I visit is the one closest to my home. Doctor Salameh has a few offices in town so that he may meet the needs of his patients. Which I find very comforting. Speaking of comforting, his nursing and office staff are just the sweetest, bubbly group of gals you wish for in all of your doctor's offices. Each one is attentive in their own way, yet they all know your business lol so no matter which one of them is standing closest to you the day of your visit, they have you covered! I am fixing to have a whole lot of testing and biopsy along with the usual colonoscopy and esophageal manometry tests. I won't say I'm not having anxiety because I have experienced a horrible event with an OB/Gyn doctor, causing me a great amount of internal damage by doing what he knew I didn't qualify for just so he could get a kickback from the BIG pharma. But... I really feel confident that I am in the right hands for these tests. I have had the privilege of seeing how well Doctor Salameh performs as he was part of the medical team that took care of my partner during a sudden cardiac arrest that left him in the ICU for over 16 days. Since he has been home from the hospital he has not had any problems with swallowing, heartburn, acid reflux, anything! So I feel a bit more secure knowing a live specimen of Dr. Salameh, 😂👍lol. Overall I am very satisfied with my new specialist, his staff, and the comfort they all gave me during my visit."

"I had great difficulty with my movements and my thoughts during my appointment but it was a doctor named Rodriquez who removed my gallbladder. After my appointment I got in touch with my primary Dr. Leos and got into to see her. My bloodwork showed that my TSH value was at 21.98. The normal range is between .04-4.50. I researched the Cholestyramine I had been taking and saw that it can interact with thyroid medication so I stopped it immediately. Tomorrow I see my endocrinologist Joseph Becker and hope to get better because I have almost completely lost my balance. I cannot have the test Dr. Salameh ordered until I feel better."

"I had a procedure done and they were all pleasant and attentive to my needs and questions pre procedure. Dr. Salameh quickly introduced himself as I had never been a patient of his before. I had no questions for him so it was quick. After the procedure they made sure my driver was there quickly to hear the results and post instructions. The nurse called the morning after to check on me. One complaint I do have is that although my daughter (driver) was able to fully understand everthing, I personally was sent my post procedure instructions Wednesday my procedure was on Monday? Very late if I am being honest there. Overall the prodcedure and experince went well."

"I could not be more pleased with the care I received from Gastroenterology Consultants of San Antonio. The entire staff was the most caring, efficient and professional of any medical facility I have utilized. Dr. Salameh was fantastic, he made sure all my questions were answered before my procedure began, which put me at ease, and I was asleep within a few seconds. I woke up in recovery and after speaking with Dr. Salameh was discharged and in my car on the way home (my wife driving) in less than two hours from my arrival. I had absolutely no aftereffects of the procedure, it was like it never happened. The only thing I did not like was the prep at home. When it’s time for you to have a colonoscopy, I highly recommend GI Consultants of SA and especially Dr. Salameh."

"This was my first experience having a colonoscopy. I was beyond nervous. The preparation was good, had a good night sleep then repeated the process in the morning. I felt a lot better afterwards. I was most nervous about the sedation, but it was great. When I woke up, it felt as if I had the best nap and I didn't experience any pain. Dr. Salameh and all staff members were so caring, professional, answered any and all questions and explained everything in detail. What started out as nervous feelings of the unknown, ended up being a really good experience. It was a breeze!!!"

Also, when I told the doctors and nurses that I had blown out my knee a week before my procedure, they made sure to take every precaution so not to cause more injury. Another thing is he listens to what I had to say and took the time in his calm voice to answer them. "I went in for my 10 year colonoscopy check-up. The nurses and staff made me feel at ease from the moment I entered the clinic. My routine procedure ended up needing some additional follow-up hospital procedures. Everything was handled quickly and I was kept informed every step of the way. Dr. Salameh is encouraging and confidant and is the best in his field. While in the hospital one of the nurses was going over the risks of the surgery and looking over the chart. She was telling my husband not to worry if it was more than an hour or 2 because that would be normal. Then she saw Dr. Salameh's name and said 'Oh great! He's the go-to for this procedure - he's who other Dr's refer their patients too - you're in GREAT hands!'. We already felt that way but it was great to have that corroborated!!
