He set me up with a TPN and an at-home nurse, everything I needed in Corpus Christi. He’s saved my life many times by catching my severe anemia and calling my hometown hospital to let them know I needed a blood transfusion. I can't imagine ever seeing any other doctor who would take my welfare so seriously. I'm so grateful he isn't close to retirement age because I plan to see him for as long as he practices. "Long but good story. When driving to my appointment to see Dr. Wendorf I got rearended. After a long exchange of information and picture taking, I stopped at a parking lot to call the clinic as I was over 30 minutes late. Unfortunately at the time, the phone line was down. Frantically calling and hoping they’d answer, messaging the patient portal to let them know. Thinking screw it and decided to go anyway in hopes they’d have a later opening. When I arrived I was met with an extremely friendly and understanding face at the front desk. When explaining my story the person was compassionate and understanding. This kind person talked to Dr Wendorf and looked to see if anything was open that day. If not the next appointment was not available until the next month or so. Waiting anxiously as I was over an hour late at this point. I was told that he would be able to see me in between other patients and that he had a gap to see me. After a deep breath to ease the anxiety, I was waiting to meet with Dr. Wendorf. Nervous i’d meet a frustrated face due to being late, I was instead met with an understanding but concerned doctor. Dr. Wendorf did not rush me during my explanation nor did he rush what I was going there for. In general after a stressful situation I was met with compassionate and friendly faces who worked to help me as a person"

"Dr Wendorf was amazing, very professional and knowledgeable about my condition gastroparesis. My GI clinic referred me over because of my concerns with medications used for treating and didn't feel a procedure worked. We wanted a second opinion to ensure I was on the right treatment path. He listened to my concerns and asked questions to get a better understanding of what I deal with and I expressed I felt a powder supplement someone else used I felt was good and helping also called metagenics ultragi replenish. He was able to listen to my concerns and informed me about a medicine they also used for urology that had no real side effects just having to pee lol and he also looked at ingredients of my metagenics and agreed he felt it was good for me and was actually going to do more research on it to possibly tell other patients about it. Since being on the medicine he gave me and metagenics I'm finally back to feeling good again. I have had my energy back, been able to just about eat a normal diet with no issues, and even started back working out. I would highly recommend him to anyone. It's hard to find doctors that actually take time to listen and take your concerns in consideration and don't just try push off unnecessary medications or procedures. Even if I'm in severe stage of gastroparesis that normally could require pacemaker, he never tried to push it on me and was willing to try the medicine that had no side effects and my metagenics to give it a chance for six months. My GI doctor at connally memorial also speaks highly of him and tells how good he does with all patients she has referred over. She also takes advice from him to help her treat patients."

He is very understanding and helpful and listens to me and considers all avenues as it pertains to my care. "Dr. Wendorf and his staff were outstanding... For anyone who knows, IYKYK - this is an unpleasant situation/procedure for anyone that goes in for a colonoscopy. The prep was clearly explained. This was the worst part of the whole ordeal... The follow up prior to the experience was fantastic. The check in was quick, and they have more than one restroom for those of us that still needed it frequently prior to the procedure. From the nurses to the anesthesiologist to the Doctor himself were all extremely helpful and thorough in explanation from start to finish. This is a very fine tuned machine indeed. They made an unpleasant procedure a breeze, and I would recommend this facility to anyone... so 50 somethings and above, Get Er Done!"

"I went in for my first colonoscopy. Without any hesitation, I can say that the hardest part was drinking the prep and not the procedure itself. Once I arrived, it was only a few minutes before I was brought to the back. The lady who walked me through the 1st step of getting changed and into the bed was great, and helped me relax. Not long after that, I was brought into the room for my procedure. I talked to both the anesthesiologist and the doctor and both explained what was going to happen. I thought it would be scary but it was fine. The next thing I know, I'm waking up after it was done. The doctor comes back and explains everything. Fortunately, I received a print out of my results since I was a little out of it from the anesthesia. The staff contacted my driver and took care of everything. Nobody really wants to have a colonoscopy, but this experience was the best I could hope for. Everyone was professional, efficient at their jobs, and very nice. Thanks to all who helped me."

"I highly recommend Dr. Wendorf. He is the first Gastroenterologist, in the last 3 years, who specializes in gastroparesis. I have been misdiagnosed with celiac disease by one previous doctor. I was told my problem was 'stress!' by the second doctor. So I have suffered with incompetent doctors. Dr. W. was very personable, took all the time I needed to discuss my stomach issues and is very knowledgeable. I couldn't believe he saw me on time! All these other doctors, not just in the gastro field, think nothing of making me wait 1/2 to one full hour-not acceptable. His staff member Wendy is also a pleasure to work with."

"Dr. Wendorf, is a friendly Doctor, that did a colonscope camara prochures, on my colon, to checked things out, inside of it, and did a upper camara prochures, on me too, of putting a camara down my throat, at the Hospital, i was amited in, compare to my other GI Doctor, i been with, for about 11 to 12 years, named Michael Guirl, that did not show up, at the hospital, to do these 2 prochures, on me, at the hospital, because Michael Guirl, was so booked up, with is other patience, he had to take care of, at the time, when i got real sick, when i was amited in the hosiptal, for my rectum protits stomach issues, and having IBS-D problems flare ups, i been battling with, for 23 years, and when i had my Gallbladder removed this year, in May, i got worse, on my IBS-D, but least i have meds, to control, these loose stools now, that's been driving me crazy, i been dealing with, sence June, of 2021"
