"I have been seeing Dr. Spearman for 6 years, During that time, he has performed 2 colonoscopies. There have been no problems with either (and I'm not talkng about the results, clinically). I'm talking about the procedure, itself. This last procedure was over before I even knew it began. I didn't even realize when the anesthesia began and I awoke, not even knowing the procedure had been done and was over."

"First of all, Dr. Spearman is wonderful. However, the nurse that was starting my IV was extremely rude and insisted that I had diabetes melitus after I explained to her that I have diabetes insipidus. She looked at me and asked me what that meant to me like I am a “complete moron” and I told her that it is a pituitary issue, not glucose problem. She proceeded to check my blood sugar anyhow even after I told her I did not want her to nor did it need to be done. Then she was very rude and slapped the oxygen tubing in my lap and did not bring a blanket after I said that I was cold. The nurses need training and need to know that diabetes does not mean blood sugar issues automatically. An RN does not make you smarter than everyone and I am a LVN."

"over the past 30 years i have had numerous gastroenterologists due to various job-related moves throughout the country. Dr. Spearman is the most accessible and most responsive. Darren Spearman, M.D. was reccommended to me by my PCP during a visit, where i had expressed frustration over getting someone on the phone with my previous gastro physician, whether for an appointment or any other reason. i always had to wait for a call back. My experience with GC of SA was very different. Someone always answers the phone and directs your call accordingly. Probably the most impressive thing about Dr. Spearman, aside from being a fine physician, is that he does not rush patients through office visits to move on to the next patient. He takes as much time as necessary to go over any and all questions / concerns, and does so in a very casual, conversational manner, unlike some physicians who can be condescending. He is also a really nice person"

"In all my years of getting medical attention around the country, Dr. Spearman has to be in the top three experiences. He spends time to listen to me and what is going on in my body. He doesn't just jump to conclusions on what is wrong. He also educates you, in terms you can understand. You feel involved in your care choices instead of dictated to. Now you add in the support staff at the practice and it is tied for first place as the best medical experience I have had in my 66 years. The nurses, technicians and administrative staff are all top notch. I wish the rest of the medical profession was anywhere near this good. BTW: I hardly ever give a 5 star review for anything. I grade hard."

Every doctor prior to Dr Spearman would just say they were sending me to someone else after running basic tests that lead to no clear answer.
