"I had my colonoscopy after putting it off for years, I’m so happy I got it done. The hardest part was the prep of the medication to drink the night before. Dr Ayyar, was awesome before my procedure he explained what was going to happen next, and then they prepped me and I woke up and it was over. Dr Ayyar was so kind."

"First and foremost, nobody wants to get a colonoscopy. However, if we have to get one, Dr. Ayyar is the Doctor I would recommend along with the incredible staff at Gastroenterology Consultants of San Antonio. From the sweet ladies at reception, to the incredible nurses and the attentive and professional Anesthesiologist- this entire experience was better than i even imagined it could be. Do not get me wrong, as much as I adored the entire team, the Prep still sucked, and I am glad I get a break for 10 years. BUT this review is on the clinic and the staff, and I can't say enough good things about them. Truly a professional group that is also compassionate and caring."
"I was diagnosed with IBS in 2008 when living in Indiana. I moved to Texas in 2020 and then moved to San Antonio in 2021. I lost all my doctor's that I had in Indy and was struggling to find replacements.
In January 2023 I had another IBS attack that just didn't fit the normal attacks in the past. I ended up at an Urgent Care and they recommended that I see Dr Ayyar. I had set up the appointment and reached out to my family doctor Dr. Larry Baros and they also recommended that I see Dr Ayyar.
I am so glad I found Dr Ayyar's office. The staff are amazing and Dr Ayyar is as well. This IBS attack has lasted far too long but Dr Ayyar has been there for me each step of the way. He listed to me which in my past none of the GI doctors that I had would. He took time to help me figure out what was happening and when one med would not work he was quick to help me find one that would. He is very kinda and cares about his patients. I know I would not be able to find another doctor like him nor a staff that cares like this group."

"My experience was exceptional. The team diverted a disaster. My appt was unknown to me canceled. After prepping all weekend and showing for my scheduled time I was shocked and upset. I asked the team for someone to step up and help my situation. Well, that is exactly what they did. They arranged to get me reassigned to Dr Ayyar and my procedure went timely and professionally. "Dr Ayyar was very kind and calming. He spoke to me patiently and reassured me of all that was going to occur. The procedure went off without a hitch. I highly recommend him and this practice. The whole process was very smooth and easy to do. My only complaint was it was very difficult to get anyone on the phone and to make an appointment. I submitted a request for an appointment online and was never contacted. I had to call. And when I did call, I would either wait for a very long time or have to put my number in for a callback. And that callback wasn't always when I was still available. That was painful. Otherwise, the day of was a quick and smooth experience."
