"Dr. Ayyar is very knowledgeable and responsive. The first time I saw him was after I had been to emergency room multiple times but they just kept running different test. He came in and did a scope and was able to diagnose the problem right away. Prescribed the medicine and was relieved right away. This last time I had left my medicine on a visit and set up a appointment at which time he gave me a new prescription and all is well again. i highly recommend him and his staff for any of your gastric problems."
"The clinic is very well set up I came in 1 hour before my appointment the paperwork took all of 10 minutes to fill out they took my vitals brought me upstairs and within another 10 to 15 minutes I was wheeled into the procedure room and I was out of there before my wife was able to get home she turned around and got me I had a 730 appointment and I was home by 9 very quick very professional there was not one thing I experienced that was negative about the entire experience."

"Dr. Ayyar performed a colonoscopy procedure recently. It was my first procedure of this type and I was pretty nervous heading into it. The whole team did a great job of educating me on what to expect prior to the appointment. On the day of the appointment the staff did a great job of calming me and the process from check-in to recovery was excellent. "The experience with Gastrointestinal Consultants of San Antonio and Dr. Ayyar was great. I was pleased with the efficiency and timely manner I was able to get an appointment. The staff at the center where the procedure was performed were efficient and friendly. I’ve had this performed procedure many times before and I have never had this procedure completed so fast. My appointment was scheduled at 11:00 am and I was out at 11:45 am. Dr. Ayyar was very friendly and professional, he explained the findings of the procedure very well. "Was not looking forward to the dreaded colonoscopy. Who does? But Dr. Ayyar was fantastic! He spent time with me explaining the procedure and answered questions I had. Check-in was very easy and efficient. The nurses were very nice and discussed the steps of the procedure and advised who the other medical team members were that were assigned to me. The anesthesiologist was very nice too. Staff contacts whomever you have designated to advise of the beginning of the procedure and when you are done so you can be picked up within 30 minutes. Very streamlined process. The facility was very clean. Hospital bed comfy. I recommend Dr. Ayyar, his team members and Gastroenterology Consultants of San Antonio."

"I felt like the staff was super nice from checkin to check out. It did have a cattle heard type of feel where they were bringing patients in as quick as possible and pushing them out as quick as possible (I even got put in the hallway for a bit while in the bed so they could keep the pace moving). Dallas was super nice getting me sedated and Dr Ayyar was respectful. Then I woke up and discussed the results, was asked to get dressed and taken to the chair by the exit while my ride got the car. They did a follow up call to make sure I was doing ok. I would use their service again, was a rather positive first experience. Sometimes you lose a little bit of the customer relation feeling when trying to keep a fast pace, but for the most part they did a great job."

"I was diagnosed with IBS in 2008 when living in Indiana. I moved to Texas in 2020 and then moved to San Antonio in 2021. I lost all my doctor's that I had in Indy and was struggling to find replacements. In January 2023 I had another IBS attack that just didn't fit the normal attacks in the past. I ended up at an Urgent Care and they recommended that I see Dr Ayyar. I had set up the appointment and reached out to my family doctor Dr. Larry Baros and they also recommended that I see Dr Ayyar. I am so glad I found Dr Ayyar's office. The staff are amazing and Dr Ayyar is as well. This IBS attack has lasted far too long but Dr Ayyar has been there for me each step of the way. He listed to me which in my past none of the GI doctors that I had would. He took time to help me figure out what was happening and when one med would not work he was quick to help me find one that would. He is very kinda and cares about his patients. I know I would not be able to find another doctor like him nor a staff that cares like this group."

However, if we have to get one, Dr. Ayyar is the Doctor I would recommend along with the incredible staff at Gastroenterology Consultants of San Antonio. From the sweet ladies at reception, to the incredible nurses and the attentive and professional Anesthesiologist- this entire experience was better than i even imagined it could be. Do not get me wrong, as much as I adored the entire team, the Prep still sucked, and I am glad I get a break for 10 years. BUT this review is on the clinic and the staff, and I can't say enough good things about them. Truly a professional group that is also compassionate and caring."

"Dr Ayyar was very kind and calming. He spoke to me patiently and reassured me of all that was going to occur. The procedure went off without a hitch. I highly recommend him and this practice. The whole process was very smooth and easy to do. My only complaint was it was very difficult to get anyone on the phone and to make an appointment. I submitted a request for an appointment online and was never contacted. I had to call. And when I did call, I would either wait for a very long time or have to put my number in for a callback. And that callback wasn't always when I was still available. That was painful. Otherwise, the day of was a quick and smooth experience."
