"Excellent staff here, with the tiny exception that the pretty young girls at the front reception desk need to learn to smile, and be pleasant when “attempting” to interact with the patient. Young people’s culture has them communicating by texting with their phones. The rest of us out here are accustomed to face to face and speaking to each other. This problem is not specific to this location. I LOVE Dr, Havemann and his staff. Just bringing it to people’s attention we need to be social again, and young people, learn how. It is actually FUN to talk with people!!"
"9/10. The facility was very nice, and the vast majority of the staff were wonderful. They were attentive, considerate, patient and kind. The male nurse anesthetist was a bit heavy-handed with moving tubes and such that it was a bit uncomfortable, and the doctor was about 25 mins late, but all in all based on my experience I would absolutely recommend this practice."

"Dr. Karthik Garapati, one of the best doctors I have ever come across in my life. When first time I met him, the way he introduced himself and explained me about my procedure. I had a feeling that I have no issue with my health, or I already recovered. Couple of weeks later I had a colonoscopy at this facility it was one of the best treatment experiences I have ever had. Staff that checked me in to the nurses, to anesthesia staff. Dr. Karthik, who did the procedure all treated me with dignity, respect, were knowledgeable and professional, with their warm touch I had a feeling that I was with my family. Magnificent to miracle procedure report, stating "Good news. I wish I have more words or better words to recommend their services."
"What a great overall experience today at Austin Gastroenterology in Bee Cave/Lakeway! From the start, checking in with Jessica that had a great personality and very friendly, to getting a perfect IV started by my pre-op RN Sharon (who was also friendly and she and I were joking with each other) to an uneventful, successful and professional procedure from Dr. Havemann and closing it out with my post-op RN Sujana, my 2 hour visit there was truly a pleasure done in a nice, new, clean facility Thanks!"
"I had a colonoscopy at this facility several weeks ago and even though it doesn’t sound like it would be enjoyable it was one of the best medical experiences I have ever had. From the staff that checked me in to the nurses, to anesthesia staff to the physician who did the procedure all treated me with dignity, respect, were knowledgeable and professional. "First of all we (my husband and I) travelled over 2 hours from our hometown for this visit and were seen in Lakeway. Our first impression was the woman who checked us in. She was not friendly and I don’t recall even one smile. I actually felt as if our presence annoyed her. Which is very off-putting, as we had driven very far for this appointment and didn’t feel welcome. (Which was weird since the woman who scheduled us, was delightful over the phone. I guess that’s a different location.) We didn’t have to wait long to see the nurse and the provider, whom we really liked. They were both very nice. My husband was very comfortable talking with Brittany. She was wonderful, nonjudgmental, answered all of our questions throughly and we felt like his health concerns were resolved for the time being. The check-out gal and woman that scheduled my husband for his procedure, were also very pleasant and helpful. Mostly everyone we talked to was very chill and we didn’t feel anxious about any of it. Which is huge for us! I would consider a new receptionist for five stars. Overall would recommend, because of course it’s possible the receptionist was just having a bad day. Looking forward to meeting the doctor who will be doing the procedure. He is highly rated."

"Do I say I had a 5-star experience? No one wants a colonoscopy however mine could not have gone better. I think my nurses were Martina, Kelly, Joan, Sheila and Eric (who gave me the I.V.). Each one was so personable and comforting. We even laughed a bit while at the same time my nurses were efficiently caring for me, making final preparations for the procedure. I'll tell you, the moment Joan took my hand and told me she'd be taking care of me during the actual procedure my anxiety melted. That smile of hers! However, they were all just wonderful. I loved that the ginger ale I'd told Martina I wanted after the procedure was waiting for me and delivered immediately upon my asking. Shelia even brought me a wonderful coffee after I drank my ginger ale. I hate to go on and on but I am just so impressed and I appreciate everyone's efficiency, attention to detail, my comfort, the reassurance provided, and, of course, along with my doctor, the excellent medical care I received. Thank you for going the extra mile for me, for your patients."

"Dr. Chia-Wen (Kevin) Hsu and his nurse Yulia Lyuboslavsky are the best of the best. The offices are clean, well maintained, the surgical facilities are state of the art. I met with Yulia a few days before my procedures and we talked about what tests were ordered and all the details of what to do to prepare for the procedures. I then met with Dr. Hsu before the surgery. He answered any questions and made sure to explain all the details and what I would expect. Recovery was pretty immediate, there was a small amount of blood on day two but I had pretty large polyp so not too bad. The doctor and nurse checked in with me by phone and email. No other complications at all. Dr. Hsu is always in high demand and has some special rules around scheduling. With his team being the best in the region, best to follow the rules and just don't reschedule or cancel unless you want to go find a new lesser doctor."

"I have seen Dr. Tsai many times and have had a surgical procedure done with a scope. He is the best Gastroentrologist that I have been to in the 38 years I have lived in Austin. I have been to other Gastroentrologists here that didn’t know what was wrong with me. Dr. Tsai knew immediately and said it should have been taken care big in 2009 and 2015 but due to incompetent doctors it was not fixed. Dr. Tsai is very nice and takes the time to explain problems with you and even draws pictures to explain what it needed. I would recommend that anyone needs a gastro doctor to do to Dr. Tsai. He is the absolute best specialist in this area. When I needed a specialized and dangerous surgery done he referred me to a surgeon who specialized in my problem. He is kind, considerate and has compassion for his patients."

Staff were all courteous. The nursing/medical staff got me back quickly and seeing my uncertainty, they were super reassuring. "Dr. Havemann is an outstanding physician. I have been under the care of 2 gastroenterologists for the past 10 yrs and Trying to resolve multiple gastro issues. After only 4 months under the care of Dr. Havemann I feel much better. He explains medical issues clearly and has an outstanding bedside manner. He is very pleasant to communicate with and her office staff and their Endoscopy center is excellent. It takes at least a month to be able to schedule an appointment with him but the wait is definitely worth it. I highly recommend him!!"
"No one likes to visit gastroenterology. It just doesn't appear on anyone's list of favorite things to do. Recent concerns of mine brought me to P.A. Laura Johnson for something outside of a normal follow-up. She, along with Dr. Havemann at A.G., have an all too rare ability to make you feel as though you're the only patient on their appointment list that day. She listens, analyzes, and charts a course of action that addresses your concerns. The testing she scheduled for me happened very quickly, with results called to me in a reasonable time. An amazingly gifted medical professional, I could not imagine receiving better care than at her hands."
"Dr. Sheila Reddy has been exemplary in her treatment. I came in with a sore stomach, and after an endoscopy found 3 ulcers. She put me on a wonderful medicine, Dexilant, which not only cured my ulcers w/o surgery, but put to rest the gerd problems caused by the hiatal hernia that several others doctors had failed to resolve. Right now her office is attempting to allow Medicare/TRICARE (military) to allow me to continue on this fantastic med rather than go back to Prilosec which I had been on 2x a day previously. I applaud them, because it hasn’t been easy. Right now we don’t know which way the wind will blow upon this endeavor. Wish Dr. Reddy’s office and me luck. Update: I lost my debate with Medicare/TRICARE, but Dr. Reddy found a medicine that supported my nasty herd problems. I haven’t had another ulcer since."
