"I actually hate seeing doctors. I don't typically leave five star reviews because frankly I hate everyone and everything, but I logged in today specifically because Dr. Stassen deserved a fist bump. When my medical tests showed that I had a fatty liver, I was totally prepared to have to defend the shape of my body lest I be fat shamed or dismissed again. I came to my follow up appointment armed to the teeth with Fitbit information on my eating and exercise habits, but Dt. Stassen looked over all my results and then said, " Society likes to tell us that our weight is solely determined by what we eat and our activity level, but those of us in healthcare know that just isn't true." It was so shockingly validating i was pretty much speechless, and for an over educated Jewish grandmother, that's really saying something. Additionally, Dr. Stassen was thorough and knowledgeable about my conditions. He was also hesitant to recommend uncomfortable procedures unless they were necessary. Suffice to say, I'm impressed and I'm not easily impressed. I'll be back... of course I will, the dr says I need a follow up in a year and he knows what he's talking about."

"She is very knowledgeable and able to discuss freely with me, as I am a retired physician with a long complex gastrointestinal history. She phoned me at 5:45 pm 4 days later to see how I was doing. I had misunderstood one of her drug instructions and we corrected that. I renegotiated the exact time I would no longer drink or eat at night as I go to bed later and that was OK. She told me to call her two days later if I was not better, but I am better but not yet well. I now have four woman physicians and they are all excellent. They truly treat me with respect, listen carefully, ask appropriate questions, and almost always get the correct diagnosis. My last three encounters with male physicians have been poor in three of the four cases and have damaged my health forever."

"I can't say enough great things about Austin Gastro, especially Dr. Navdeep Chehl and his staff, Michelle, Brianna, and anyone else I've come in contact with. I met Dr. Chehl during a really scary time during hospitalization after several attempts at help from ERs. He actually listened, performed the correct tests, and helped me with every stage of diagnosis. He has an awesome personality, which makes it very easy to talk to him about some not-so-great topics. I recently had an emergency, Dr. Chehl saw me the next day, had a surgeon fit me in the day after that, and was fixed immediately. The surgeon was great, but he was no Dr. Chehl (ha) I just called because I had yet again another emergency, and Dr. Chehl called me himself, and talked me through everything, not rushed or annoyed (like I would be with me). His triage nurse Michelle is the nicest human I've ever talked to on the phone, could not love her calming voice any more. If you're seeking a GI doc things probably aren't good... this team makes it feel the best they possibly can."

"Dr. Thomas is a great doctor. He and his staff Lisa took the time to listen to my issues I was having. Asking questions and hearing me out. I had an ulcer years ago that caused bleeding in my stomach. I told tthem about it. To my surprise they pulled the file from the hospital I had the care at, to see what I had.. That pretty much let me know they were on their A game. My symptoms that brought me to Dr.Thomas were eventually diagnosed as ibs after several test, blood work, endoscopy, and colonoscopy confirming. Both procedures were done by Dr. Thomas. His care and work could have not been better. He made me feel at ease and made sure I was comfortable. Dr. Thomas will be my specialist and recommend for anyone who wants a great caring doctor with valuable experience."

Undergoing an Endoscopy as well as a Colonoscopy at 71 at 6 AM went like a breeze with absolutely no post op sedation effects or discomfort of any kind. Being a dentist, I could have gone to work that afternoon but was highly encouraged not too. I cannot recommend Dr Lubin high enough. He and his staff patiently took their time to answer any and all my questions pre and post op. In addition to giving immediate 3 page results with pictures, two days after the procedures, Dr Lubin called me personally to not only see how I was doing ; but also, share with me the lab test results; biopsy results, et. all.
