“Infusion” or “infusion therapy” refers to the delivery of medications directly into the veins of a patient, also known as intravenous or IV administration. Intravenous/Infusion or injectable methods of drug delivery are typically used when oral/pill medications are insufficient, inappropriate, or unavailable. Many of the newest medications are biologic (made or derived from living cells) and cannot be taken orally like a pill because they will not remain effective after exposure to the digestive system. Biologic medications are often used to treat inflammatory bowel diseases which include Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis along with other autoimmune disorders.

How do I prepare for my infusion therapy?
To prepare for your infusion therapy:
- Drink plenty of water
- Wear clothing with layers
- Wear comfortable clothes
- Some patients may need to premedicate
- Bring a list of current medications

I would like to mention that the below issue was very well resolved by the staff and the clinic. They took me in, and the staff and Dr. Panossian are one of the best GI team I have ever worked with. I had my first visit with Dr. Panossian and he put my worries to rest, took the time to listen to my concerns and had a good plan. I loved how patient he was and was genuinely concerned about my condition. I would like to correct myself and must say he is an amazing doctor. Ridiculous! They denied seeing me as a new patient because I go to another gastroenterologist I am not happy with. They refused to see me because it does not serve their purpose, they care more about their policy rather than caring for a patient. Will be circulating this review everywhere else I can. Totally disappointed. A doctor and his staff who does not have a patients best interest at heart is worth nothing!!! Based on your response below, I can contact the office but my concern is would they give me an appointment? Probably not, because the policy is the patient is supposed to deal with a provider they don't like and cannot even take a second opinion from you because of your policy. Please contact me when you are ready to fix the policy of yours. Thanks!
Dr. B, as I call him, is the best! He is very chill, has a GREAT bedside manor, which is very important for GI patients! Da'vita is wonderful!!! They make the 1.5 hrs drive worth coming down!❤️😁
I cannot recommend Dr. Brenner enough!! This woman is AMAZING! She's a brilliant Dr who knows exactly what she's talking about. And she truly cares about her patients, to boot - a rare combination to find in a Dr these days. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Brenner!!!
Process was very streamlined and appointment times were pretty good. Facilities are nice. Great Doctor and staff. Desk staff could use a little more training in being courteous.
