About James Weber, M.D.
Chief Executive Officer and Founder of GI Alliance, Dr. Weber leads the nation’s largest independent gastroenterology (GI) provider network. His vision of creating a premier GI network by being Patient-First, Quality-Centric, and Physician-Led drives the organization’s success.
Dr. Weber reinforces his Patient-First vision through current GI practice, providing care to patients at GI Alliance’s Lone Star Endoscopy in Southlake, Texas. In 1995, Dr. Weber founded Texas Digestive Disease Consultants (TDDC) and served as president until starting GI Alliance in 2018.
In 2022, Dr. Weber serves as President and Board Chair of the Digestive Health Physician Association (DHPA), a national not-for-profit political advocacy organization supporting over 2300 gastroenterologists and their patients. DHPA represents GI independent practices and patients nationally through public policy, education, and advocacy efforts.
Recognized by his peers and industry colleagues, Dr. Weber has been awarded “Doctor of the Year” by the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of North Texas, “Best Doctors in Dallas” in D Magazine, and “Top Doctors in Tarrant County” by Fort Worth Magazine. Dr. Weber frequently presents at national conferences and meetings promoting best-in-class GI services and high-quality care for all patients.
Dr. Weber earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, he completed his internal medicine residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital and his GI fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
