Both Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease are chronic inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) that involve inflammation of the digestive tract and can be quite painful, debilitating, and even life threatening for people suffering from IBD. Thankfully, these symptoms can be managed with regular ongoing treatment. There is no cure for IBD at this piont, but there is much research happening in this area and a cure is the goal.
