About Joseph B. Eisenach, M.D.
Dr. Eisenach received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in 1982. He completed both his internship and residency programs at the University of Nebraska Hospitals followed by a Gastroenterology/Hepatology Fellowship at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. Following a one year appointment at Iowa, he then joined the staff at the University of Kansas Medical Center as an Assistant Professor of Medicine from 1989-1992 Past awards include an NIH training grant and a research award from the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association. He has also served as Medical Staff President of the Medical Center of Independence.
Dr. Eisenach chose the medical profession because of the opportunity it has given him to serve people while pursuing a science related career. His relation ship with his colleagues, coworkers and patients is what Dr. Eisenach enjoys most about practicing medicine.
Dr. Eisenach is a sports enthusiast who also enjoys jogging and the theater.
