Cheryl Camin Murray

Chief Legal Officer

Cheryl Murray has over 20 years of experience advising health care providers on complex corporate and healthcare regulatory matters. As the Chief Legal Officer, Cheryl and her team help support the GI Alliance with the day-to-day legal projects and questions that develop in the organization. She advises and provides guidance on licensing, contractual and health care regulatory matters. In particular, she assists the GI Alliance in its compliance with an array of statutes and regulations, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Stark Law, HIPAA, and the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act as well as applicable state laws.

As a former Partner in a larger international law firm, Cheryl found practical solutions for systems, facilities, companies, and individuals throughout the health care industry, including hospitals, physician groups, technology vendors, management companies, long-term care companies, private equity firms, and financial institutions. In addition, she has expertise in contractual, compliance, and transactional issues, structuring complex arrangements to fit corporate goals and operations in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. Prior to joining the GI Alliance, Cheryl was a Partner in the Corporate & Healthcare practice group at Katten, a full-service international the law firm.

Cheryl Murray brings dual advanced degrees in law and public health with her to the GI Alliance. Cheryl completed her JD at the University of Houston Law Center, cum laude, and an MPH at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
