About Steven Hearne, M.D.
Dr. Steven Hearne is a San Antonio native. He attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in 1987 and an additional two-year fellowship in Gastroenterology.
Dr. Hearne has a special interest in Colon Cancer screening and treating all IBD. Dr. Hearne appreciates the long term relationships he has been able to build with many of his patients over the last 29 years.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and traveling with his wife. They are part of a yearly medical ministry where they travel to Senegal, Africa and they are involved with the Kairos prison ministry. He and his wife Dr. Linda Hearne are the proud parents of 4 children and 3 grandchildren.

From the moment I stepped into Dr. Hearne’s office I felt a warm, inviting atmosphere from his front desk staff. Then the intake nurse was careful to listen to my concerns and background. I was then seated back in the reception room after. Next, Dr. Hearne himself greeted me and walked me into his office. He had already familiarized himself with my medical records and was very prepared, knowledgeable, reassuring and efficient to lay out the plan to address my health concerns. Everything and everyone was perfect. Efficient, welcoming and professional.
